1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or using our mobile sauna services, you and other persons using the sauna under your hire (“User”) agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
2. Eligibility
Users must be 18 years or older or accompanied by a legal guardian.
Children under 7 years are not permitted to use the sauna, whether in the company of an adult or not.
Individuals with medical conditions, including heart disease, respiratory issues, or pregnancy, should consult a doctor before use.
Given the extreme nature of a sauna, individuals with certain psychological conditions are advised to consult with a doctor before use.
It is the User’s responsibility to disclose any pre-existing health, and/or medications.
3. Booking & Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Cancellations made 24 hours prior to the booking will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
We will deliver the sauna to your site, unless we deem the site to be too steep, dangerous or inaccessible, in which case we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to weather, safety, or operational concerns.
4. Use Guidelines
Maximum occupancy limits must be respected.
Users must shower before entering and wear appropriate swimwear. Nudity is not permitted.
For hygiene purposes ensure that a towel is placed between you and the sauna bench at all times.
Users should remove all jewellery to avoid any heat related injuries.
Strictly no alcohol, drugs, or smoking is permitted inside or around the sauna.
Using a sauna can result in dehydration, heat exhaustion or other related risks. Users must remain hydrated and limit sauna sessions to a maximum of20 minutes at a time (we recommend 5 –15 minute sessions).
5. Safety & Conduct
Users must follow all instructions provided by the operator or as set out in signage.
Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate removal without refund. This includes any inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour toward the operator or staff, which will not be tolerated under any circumstance.
Users must follow the operators’ instructions on: how to pour water onto hot rocks; only pouring provided ‘sauna water’ on hot rocks and nothing else; how to enter and exit the sauna in a safe manner; keeping access points clear to allow other users to exit safely, including in an emergency situation.
Users must remove shoes prior to entering the sauna and ensure feet are clean using the rinse tub provided.
Not touch or interfere with any part of the stove or its mechanisms.
Swimming in any body of water and/or cold water immersion following sauna use is undertaken at the User’s own risk.
6. Liability & Waiver
Use of the sauna is at your own risk.
We are not liable for any injury, illness, death or loss resulting from sauna use by the User or other persons using the sauna under your hire.
We are not responsible for any damaged or lost property. You should take steps to secure all property before using the sauna.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that a suitable and compliant electrical supply is available for the operation of the sauna. This includes, but is not limited to, arranging for any necessary electrical installations, upgrades, or certifications required to meet local safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Whitebear Limited together with its successors and assigns shall not be liable for any delays, damages, or malfunction resulting from inadequate or improper electrical supply.
Users must sign a waiver of liability prior to entry.
7. Damage & Cleaning
Any damage caused by misuse or intentional damage will be charged to the User.
A cleaning fee may apply if the sauna is left in an unsanitary condition.
8. Privacy
Privacy Notice – Privacy Act 2020: We collect your personal information to manage your booking and provide a safe sauna experience. This may include your name, contact details, and any relevant health information. Your data is stored securely and used only for service-related purposes. We do not share your information without your consent. You have the right to access and correct your personal data. For more information, visit privacy.org.nz.
9. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control, including where access to a site is either dangerous or inaccessible, natural disasters, pandemics, or local and government restrictions.
10. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting to our website or booking platform.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
